Ye Olde Smokehouse in Fraser’s Hill is an wonderful old fashion english style inn.
Make sure you are careful in contacting them as another lodge has a very similar name.

The service was excellent.
The food was great and was available in the old charming dining room or on the patio.

There is an additional building, a few steps from the main building with more rooms. The wifi wasn’t good, but you could get an ok connection in a library room in the main building.

I recommend Ye Olde Smokehouse if you want to splurge a bit on a relaxing stay while you enjoy the cool air in the highlands and take in the hikes available (Bishop Trail, Pine Hill Trail…). And even if you don’t stay there, I recommend taking the opportunity to enjoy their restaurant.
A few steps outside the door to my room I had this view of the monkey. And shot a short video of the monkeys arguing with each other.
As you would expect with an old lodge sound proofing was not good but the service and food make this a good choice for escaping to the natural environment in Fraser’s Hill.
